Carousel

by Benedikt Hoffman

You and me, were like a carousel
Around and around.
We loved for a spell.
Until the ride was over and we hit the ground.
You told me it would be up and down
But I realize it was all a fantasy.
Like the joke of a clown,
You and I were here and gone like yesterday.

Drive

Dust in Wind by Forrest Cavale

Take me to the middle of nowhere

And let me just cry there.

It’ll be you and me,

Forever and free.

Drive to where no one will find

And where there’s nothing on our mind.

Can we take a deep breath

And watch the car run out of gas and into death?

We’ll lie under the sky

And watch time fly by.

Drive to the desert

So I can find my heart.

Phone Line

In the Mountains by Alexandr Schwarz
Picture Taken By: Alexandr Schwarz

Millions of times, I’ve wished heaven had a phone line.

I guess, then, everything would feel fine.

‘Cause to hear your voice one more time would

Heal every wound overnight.

And even though they told me,

Every once in a while – I wonder if you’re truly free.

Longing for you has put this whole in my heart,

Just know I wish we never had to part.

All the time I wish you were still here,

‘Cause then you wouldn’t be there – I

Keep telling myself I’m alright, but

Soon I know I’ll give up the fight.

Over time, I felt this heaviness.

Now all I feel is emptiness.

All My Love

Camera by Chancema
Picture Taken By: Chancema

All my love

Is for you.

Every single heartbeat

Is meant for you.

I saw you from across the room,

That camera in your hands.

My face was captured with your flash

And now all my love

Is for you.

Alright

in the forest by doug robichaud

Bombs, grenades, knives, bullets

You never used any of those.

Looks, sneers, words, sarcasm

You have a whole fistful of them.

Degrading me to feel better about yourself,

Why can’t all of this just stop?

Please, no disrespect, but

What have I done to you?

You’re human – I’m human.

We’re brothers, sisters.

When I sit alone,

I think of these things.

How all we need is forgiveness,

And how everything could be alright.

Just a Spark

Sparks by Joshua Earle
Picture Taken By: Joshua Earle

Just an attraction –

Between you and me.

I can’t explain my reaction,

All I know is with you I’m free.

Your hand holding mine,

It fits just right.

Together we’re fine,

Together we’re alright.

They call it a spark.

They say it will grow

Until it’s a fire.

Worlds Apart

people by charlie foster
Picture Taken By: Charlie Foster

How did it come to this?

We’re so close – but worlds apart.

It broke with words of hatred,

Our relationship cracked to the roots.

Our love used to be bliss,

It’s no longer a matter of the heart.

Our past is now jaded.

And I wish our love again from my head to my boots.

Tell me how to fix it,

And I promise I’ll swallow my pride.
