Stardust

Night by Mathias Herheim

A million stars in the cosmos,
Pieces of dust that make you up at the utmost.
That’s where you’re from – the dust,
So tell me what’s your worth?
Dirt?
Are you holes in the blanket of night?
A thousand different lights in the universe –
Galaxies of dust that spin far off course.
You’re made of dust – stardust,
So that’s your worth. So much more than just
Dirt.

Rough Water

Water by Das Sasha

You’re knee-deep in life.

The water rising every day.

You’re lost in a sea of doubt,

Trying to come to shore.

You’ve lived in strife

Trying to find your way,

Rough water rocks your boat

You just can’t take it anymore.

So if you’re lost,

Look down.

There in the water – you’ll see a shadow,

Follow it as it flies to shore.

Just a Ride

Ride by Siyan Ren

It’s just a ride, you know?

Looking on from the outside,

You’re never in control.

Roller-coaster with your hands up, it’s just an adventure.

You bought the ticket and you can’t return it.

Going around in circles,

It feels devoid of miracles.

Enjoy it while it lasts,

Hold on before it stops:

It’s just the ride of life.

Phone Line

In the Mountains by Alexandr Schwarz
Picture Taken By: Alexandr Schwarz

Millions of times, I’ve wished heaven had a phone line.

I guess, then, everything would feel fine.

‘Cause to hear your voice one more time would

Heal every wound overnight.

And even though they told me,

Every once in a while – I wonder if you’re truly free.

Longing for you has put this whole in my heart,

Just know I wish we never had to part.

All the time I wish you were still here,

‘Cause then you wouldn’t be there – I

Keep telling myself I’m alright, but

Soon I know I’ll give up the fight.

Over time, I felt this heaviness.

Now all I feel is emptiness.

Keep Going

Hiking Boots by Amanda Sandlin

They tell you to do it for yourself.

Tell you that it doesn’t matter who sees

Or who believes.

All that matters is that you believe in yourself.

But that gets hard.

Our walking is easier on paths already trodden,

Our hearts are made to be encouraged.

We need support,

Just like a ship needs a port.

One step back and we’re off the edge,

One step back and we’re gone forever.

They tell you to do it for yourself.

But no matter what they say:

Keep going.

Life is a Staircase

Footsteps by Jake Hills

Life is a staircase.

Its ploys knock us down,

And its handshakes pull us up.

It is a ladder of deceptive popularity:

It is mpossible to reach the top.

Putting one foot in front of the other

Is the only way to get through.

Some days we barely move,

On others we take leaps.

Yes, life is a staircase

And all we have to do is climb.

Empty Tracks

Empty Track by Jacki Potorke

There are 365 stakes,

And 52 railways.

The first day is new,

And the last is occupied.

There are 12 cars that travel here

And 7 stops along the way.

Every year new stops,

Every day new chances,

Every year new tracks laid,

And every day new stakes purchased.

These tracks here are empty

But soon

They’ll be filled with memories.
